I recently received a package of goodies in the mail and I am so excited to share them with you! All of these handmade goodies come from a shop called shannonslatts! The items I received were:

All the pieces in her shop are amazing! They’re so beautifully hand crafted. My favorite piece I received was…of course…The Fault in Our Stars earrings! They are so cute and really look just like the book! And they’re actually a lot more lightweight that I would have thought because they look heavy but they’re not!

Hi Crafters, Craft enthusiasts, and everybody else! I have not posted in a while because of college and stuff, but I have a new project that I am seeking interested people to participate in! This project is a little bit for school, and a lotta bit for the good of the environment (and its going to be fun!!). I will be creating a website in order to encourage upcycling (thats crafty recycling for all of you who are unfamiliar). On this website, I am going to create a space for people to post upcycling tutorials and projects. My hopes are that if this website spreads, people will get excited about recycling and get more into thrifting and re-using materials. We may not be able to prevent wasteful practice, but we can at least spread the idea of upcycling beyond the crafting community!

Hello! So I know I do a pretty good amount of promoting on here, but if you have not yet checked out my etsy, you should do so! If you love reading, food, or really tiny things, you may be interested in some of the jewelry I create! All of my decorated earrings are handpainted, which sets them apart from other book earring/craft vendors. I also make everything to order, so when I am working on a pair of earrings or a necklace I can think “this necklace is for (insert your name here)”. Machine created jewelry will most definitely be perfect everytime, but handcrafted jewelry has great character and usually a story to go with it. You can proudly wear your jewelry knowing that you are the only person in the world with that exact pair of earrings or that necklace! I also include a handwritten note in every package so you know that your earrings are coming from a real person, not a robot (although that could also be cool). In addition, I love hearing what you think. Even if you don’t want to buy anything (I dont blame you, I am also on the ramen diet) I love to hear what you think. Feel free to follow my all-craft blog craftycraftsbyshanamana (yes, I know the name is long) and leave me some feedback in my ask box!
